Dainik Ittefaq is the iconic and oldest national Bengali newspaper of Bangladesh.
Dainik Ittefaq was founded in 1953 and played an important role in the independence movement of Bangladesh and served as the mouthpiece of the people struggling for independence from then-West Pakistan. Its founder Tofazzal Hossain Manik Mia was the editor of the newspaper at that time.
